  • Think of this more like a yoga class for your parts than an academic class. Most of our time will be spent practicing noticing protective parts and bringing them acceptance and love.

  • Each class is limited to six people, which fosters a sense of safety and connection.

  • Corey has been practicing and teaching IFS for years and students often comment on his calm presence and skilled facilitation.

Am I a good fit for this class?

Anyone interested in going beyond cognitive learning to develop appreciation and love for their amazing protective parts will be a good fit. You don’t need to be an expert in IFS or parts work. If you’re new to IFS, check out this video and you’ll be set.

Also, this class is geared toward folks worried about issues like President Trump’s authoritarian actions, climate change, political violence, and artificial intelligence. More about that below.

How do I decide which fee to choose?

There is a growing trend to offer people flexible payment options to meet folks with different financial needs. If you’re able to pay $35 per meeting without affecting your ability to pay for your basic needs, then please choose that amount. If not, please choose a lower amount that works for you.

What if I can’t attend all the dates?

To foster a sense of community, I ask that you plan to attend at least 5 of the class meetings. If these dates don’t work for you, send me an email letting me know you’re interested, so I’ll be more likely to open up more sections soon.

Also, if you miss a class, I still ask that you pay the full amount for all six classes. You can use the amount you missed as a discount for a future class. (Just remind me when signing up)

Is this only for left leaning folks?

The primary focus of this class will not be talking about President Trump or politics, it will be focused on our protective parts and their fears and hopes. AND our parts will have fears about real political issues, many of which will be related to the President’s actions.

In order to provide a safe enough atmosphere for our parts, I ask that you sign up for this class only if you oppose the authoritarian actions of the president, and if you believe climate change is a significant problem.

This is not intended to exclude anyone who disagrees with these two ideas, but to define the scope of this class as starting with the assumption that authoritarianism and climate change are two of the largest problems facing our country and world today.
